Longtime Louisiana Television Journalist Taylor Henry Earns Law Degree at 59

Longtime Louisiana television journalist Taylor Henry recently earned a Juris Doctorate from the David A. Clarke School of Law at the University of the District of Columbia in the nation’s capital. Henry, 59, graduated cum laude during commencement exercises on Friday, May 19, at the ABA-accredited law school’s northwest D.C. campus following four years of study as a part-time evening student.

The veteran CNN overseas correspondent and duPont Award winning television reporter currently serves as Director of Public Affairs and Media Relations for the Washington-based Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, which endorses priests to serve as U.S. Military chaplains and provides pastoral care for the more than 300,000 active-duty Catholics and their families in the U.S. Armed Forces worldwide. Among his other duties, Taylor Henry produces videos, hosts podcasts, and writes news articles for the global archdiocese.

In addition to his Juris Doctorate, Taylor Henry holds a master’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Alabama and a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and English from Spring Hill College.

In a television news career spanning three decades, Taylor Henry worked as a reporter for WWL TV and WDSU TV, New Orleans; an anchor for KSLA TV, Shreveport; News Director at KNOE TV, Monroe; and Executive Producer at WGNO TV, New Orleans. He also served as Communications Director for Congressman Anh "Joseph" Cao (R-LA) and U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA).
